Why Glass Art?

I went through a challenging period in my life that turned my world upside down and pushed me out of my comfort zone. About 30 years earlier, I had experimented with stained glass lead lighting, so I decided to enrol

in a summer school to take a copper foil glass class.

I absolutely loved it and have been creating it ever since. I appreciate that it is such a tactile art form—cutting and snapping, grinding and polishing, soldering and applying patina. I also enjoy placing my creations on the windowsill and watching the different colours change throughout the day, from sunrise to sunset.
